I've made that to fit the tank better, so you can't order them (maybe send me a lot of money and I will see what I can do )

Re: TRX900special
A lot of advantages in the TDM 900..ive heard so much with the conversion, however a dark area would be the fitting of the 850 head to the 900 barrels..what thoughts there and i assume the TRX head still aligns to the frame same as the rex motor does or is that another mod..?spondontrx wrote:Thank you and yes the TRX head is usedzednine wrote:Very tidy ..... Would the main advantage on using the TRX head be to use the FCR 41s, ??
I note you have cut off the [head-off] engine support triangle bracket...

Re: TRX900special
That is a sweet looking bike. Really really like that seat module. Very smooth. Only two things i would look at would maybe some late model forks and ergo late model brakes and a swingarm with some smoother lines. Think 675 or the Aprilia mod we have seen. or even the R6 swinger would look cool. Just to balance out the lines from the rear. I'm just thinking out loud here. As it is now it looks awesome and has given me another couple of ideas for my bike.

The main reason for using a TRX head is because the front mounting points are at the front of the 900 cilinder , the 850 head fits no with problem so there is no need to change the frame ,
And I happen to prefer carbs (especiali flat slide types) witch is another reason for not using the 900 head
The triangle brackets on both side can't be used because the 900 engine doesn't use them , but I'm not to worried about that .
The biggest problem is the alignment of the chain sprockets ,for this I machined 4 mm of the collar witch is on the output shaft (behind the sprocket) this together with the YZF wheel and swingarm solves this problem (I also am gonna use a 520 chain witch gives me a bit more space)

What is the extra aluminum bracing on the swing arm? My '98 does not have this.

Being an oldie I'm putting on my hard hat and poking my head above the parapit waiting for the brick bats, but wouldn't it look cool fitted with (in a whisper) twin shocks?
I'm addicted to brake fluid, but I can stop anytime.
