i have fitted an mph speedo in place of the metric one on my bike, when i got the bike nearly finished i was checking the wiring and noticed, that when i switched the ignition on, the seedo needle swept around the face of the clock. i have never noticed this before, is it right or have i done something wrong

I see how the RPM could swipe on start up but I dont believe the speedo could as it is driven by the speedo gear

Did you replace the old clocks with standard TRX clocks or an aftermarket set?
I replaced the KPH clocks with a set of standard MPH clocks not long after getting the bike, and haven't had any issues. Did you have to mess with any of the wiring/connectors?
