My trix is going to be off the road for a looooong time :?
So I am thinking of stripping it down and
Gettin the frame powder coated a different
Colour

Do I have to get the frame blasted or can they
They coat over the existing powder coat
Any advice welcome :D

The frame needs to be blasted back to bare metal for the plastic (powder) to adhere to the steel..... :D

Just degrease it, the powder coating firm will blast it themselves.

S'upside down to mine  my frame was silver now black, was the Dark Blue/Green now Laverda orange tank, fairing etc, and I finally (digits crossed) get my orange fade to silver wheels (were gunna be white but changed me mind) today although he said yesterday was today but yesterday turned in to tomorrow's today so I'm hoping today today will be the day coz I can only clean underneath the bike some many times 8-[

In short if you can work a paint/graphics program on a computer there's a few line drawings of TRX's on the Interweb that I used to finally narrow down how I wanted mine to look. If you can't find em gimme a yell I've got left side view and top down view from the manual. It gives a good idea of what things will look like before comitting to paint, then finding after it's done you need comitting

Sounds like a great colour combo to me, some KTM's look great in black with the trestle frame in orange. I like it when the frame 'pops' against the rest of the bike. The TRX frame is cool 8) , why not show it off.
