Hi All hope every one has had as much as they can eat & drink as I have but I have now got to make few minor changes to my 97 trx.
I have a pair of Marazocchi 2007 factory forks used on the moto gp yamahas & billit brembo radial calippers, Now my question is the standard disc is 298mm dia. & doing a few mods I can reduce the diameter of the disc required to fit the new set up to 330mm. Is the thundercat or ??????? to fit the standard trx wheel. I want to keep the trx wheel if posible for speedo. I am also doing a set of yokes with a shimmed fork angle adjustment (no need but I have wanted to make these for a while for supper moto & this would be a good test bed) So any suggestions would be great as my yamaha knowledge is not up to speed. I would also like to wish every one a HAPPY NEW YEAR
Regards Dulaeng

You lucky bugger!

I'd say forget messing around trying to make old standard Yam stuff work with those wonderful forks. Since you need to make some yokes anyway, pick a nice light wheel from anything/anywhere and give it the discs it deserves to make it all work properly.

Alternatively, I can give you a complete standard TRX setup which will work perfectly well - I'll even drop them off for you! While I'm there, I'll save you the bother of scrapping the motoGP forks and calipers by dropping them off at the tip on my way home.

You know it makes sense! :D

Hi All Yes I think Andy has the right idea this would save a lot of messing about but I have been doing a little measuring today as have been away for new year & thought there is no point starting work till next week & I think it may just work as I said. I will have good look tomorrow & report back when measured.
