Hi there, I am thinking about installing a HID kit. One, so I am more visable to other drivers and two, amount of light emitted from headlight is poor. Has anyone out there installed one of these and is it worthwhile? Cheers Steve.

Yes, it's a good addition, it's better than stock, but still not perfect. A projector retrofit would be the best idea, check these guys out:

Same as MV..you wont have the spotlight type of high beam as the bulb has, but the H.I.D set up seems to splay the lights intensity over a wider area..and the bluish intense light brings up anything reflective in front for quite a way...and the cage drivers really can see the diference so it seems.
The fitting isnt too bad as if youve bought the one for the trx on e-bay as i did, the kit is made for the machine and the instructions are followable.
Be carefull not to handle the bulb and make sure the bulb fits into the holder freely...and then the whole lot into the rear of the headlamp.

Ive H.I.Ds in my other vehicles and havent had any issues

Hi srussel..mounted the ballast on the lower platform of the inner fairing, where the little air vent is under the headlight...it also keeps the water tight ballast cooler and used a self adhesive velcro ....it sits flat to the horizontal and is out of the way...

Any link, I can't find a kit for the trx. It's maybe the eBay on my phone playing up.

No worries, I found one now, there's one listed under trx 850 hid. I put in trx 850 hid kit, and didn't show anything.

60 odd quid, mine was only £43 for my car and thats 2 of everything and in h4, Reckon I can make one up, out of spares I have thinking about it.
