renegades, how loud!!
last weekend I picked up a pair of renegade cans through ebay, fitted them today, and took it out for a spin to get fuel. Jeeeeesus theyre loud, Im used to a loud ish sv650, but these are on another level.
I thought they had no packing at first, but as harsh as they are, I do quite like it, good job I dont ride far each day, although wether the neighbours will be as keen as I am.

Re: renegades, how loud!!
The TRX being a 270 degree cranked twin does `boom` somewhat through ANY race cans with straight through absorption tubes. Remember your SV650 doesn`t move as much `air` as a TRX when it breathes out being two 325cc pistons.

When I had my TRX, a girl I worked with thought it had started thundering outside the first time she heard it start up
I miss my TRX

Swapped my standard cans for a pair that been 'bafflectomied'
Swapped those for a pair of MTC cans with dB killers
dB killers now on the shelf in the garage
I do have to be a bit careful with the throttle until I'm off the estate
... but on the open roads

Rubber side down, Red side up is my preferred riding style.

I'd love to but I don't think I'll find another import with the red frame for a while, and it'd have to be an import just because, well, just because

getting used to it more as I use the bike daily for work commute. I doubt I`ll get some db killers, but the "competion use only" does need removing
Anyone know if cans only generally need bigger jetting?

A standard trx runs a bit rich so freeflowing cans usually make it run better without any carb jiggery pokery at all.

Remus cans on mine. Not sure which models - came with the bike but loud enough to set off car alarms as I found out by accident outside Lincoln cathedral a few weeks ago - didn't go down too well with a few locals.....
They roar when I give it beans, they rumble when I ease off.
