Fitted R1 rear single seat cowl, but now not so sure if it looks better??

New big bore exhausts finally fitted and all OK after mucho messing about - Cheers Kenny A41 exhaust place was brilliant made me the link pipes at very reasonable cost. Silencres are out, coz with the big bore it is quieter - now really nice deep bellow on full chat

Will stick some photies up later opinions on seat cowl welcome - as not so sure myself. might go back to pillion seat.

Now off for more fun on Ducati!

Looks good but there is I big disconnect between the front and the rear, thought about something more modern up front to match?

but I hear what you're saying ConRod: If you cover the front of the bike then the back of the bike with your hand, it looks like two bikes.....?

maybe just matching the wheels would sort it? do the silver thing on the back one maybe.

Polishing the edge of the rear wheel is a great idea....I didn't spot the wheels till you said, but now that you mention it, that would make a difference

Yes know what you mean, the single seat conversion has made it look more extreme



Good thinking on the back wheel - YZF750 wheel came black and have never been too keen, think I will strip the rim. If anyone has any ideas how just reply

Easier to paint the front wheel black, look better too!

I would put the bike on the rear stand start it and put it in gear so the rear wheel rotates. Then with some p400 sand paper wet just take the paint off the edge of the rim as it rotates. Then do the same with p1200, autosol then brasso

I love how quickly you get stuff done on the bike

I love the rear end nice work . I got an early version r6 tail and grafted it onto the TRX so all the mountings still line up... If I had my time back again I would have just mounted the compleat R6 subframe instead.

A lot of graft this pm "working from home" still might pay me back some of the midnight oil I usually burn - swings / roundabouts and all that

Simple but effective trick of the eye: has brought both ends of the bike together to make it one.
Now it looks real good mate, well done!
