Info

Post by gereen50 » Fri Jun 01, 2012 9:23 am

I'm sorry if theses sound like stupid questions but here go's I'm looking for foot pegs for my TRX but all get seem available are big chunky old fashioned yokes or tinny skimpy alloy ones rom what other bike will pegs fit. Also I have very long legs and find the TRX a little cramped is there a rearset available that can lower and push back the pegs. I have to replace my clocks and want to do so with something digital there's plenty available on eBay but which ones are most suitable. The rear cans I'm also replacing and was hoping to get link pipes as im getting short cans made is there any link pipes matching the TRX ...all suggestions welcome.

Thanks in advance,
Ger.

Use the search button at the top right of the screen you are on now and put in the keywords you are searching for it will bring you up some results I'm sure re the clocks and the pegs, I know Stank got some for his cafe racer project from china i think, dont know how good they were though, I think there is a Guy on here which sells clocks, pretty good ones too I think, Mince should be able to confirm, He has a TRX Dept. in his brain, the part that is not taken by TRX Dept. is full of other bike/ bike related stuff :D   so he will prob be able to tell you.

Footpegs/rearsets - lots can be made to work. Maybe check Kayla's website Projection Components or previous threads as I think she was doing some adapters.

Clocks - Motogadget, Acewell, Koso and others abound. Just remember generally you get what you pay for.

Link pipes - probably a job for whoever is making your short cans I would suggest.

Hope that helps a bit.

Use the search also though, as there is so much info to be found there. 8)
It must be true, I read it on the internet.

Digital speedometer and guages, check out this thread below (BUT don`t look for too long at Phil`s Hypnotoad, you`ll be a dribbling mess if you do)

And here`s your `one stop shop` if you`re in the UK anyway. The owner IS a member here and if I remember correctly offers forum users `some` discount too. His forum name escapes me just now, anyone?

EDIT.

FOUND HIM  :

As for adjustable footpegs why not buy some nice Gilles (not cheap) and have the mounting plates modified or do it yourself, to line up with the threaded mount points in the alloy casting of the TRX?
Both Gilles and LSL do some rather nice bike porn add ons  :

By the way, the cheap Taiwanese and Chinese rear sets on Ebay are damn good value for money, and quality wise are pretty damn good too, even their materials are good quality:

Different length brake / shift rods with various male and female threads are also readily available:

That should help you a bit.
Using the SEARCH facilty will bring all kinds of both TRX and general bike information and links your way, a great resource on here.
