Would it fit

Hi!
Tried to find any info about this through the search engine, but was unsuccessfull.
Stumbled on this belly shield for a TDM850. Anyone knowing if it will fit a TRX?
Don´t have a bike yet so I really cant measure myself.
But if it will fit or is a close fit it would be a good thingy to buy now.
My hope is that someone of you have checked it out before. Thx.

Cant see the image, but the TDM motor is exactly the same as the TrX but tilts further forwards in its frame than the TRX does.

Hmmmm, It MIGHT with some fettling. Compare photo`s of the front of TDM`s and TRX`s first:

Unless your TRX has been modified for off road purposes, why would you fit that piece?

Ok, I have read some about the similarities here.
But owing a Thunderace and a YZF750SP which is very similar I know there is differences here and there.
I assumed there might be the same with TDM/TRX engines.
Thx, I have looked at some pics at them both but it´s really diffc to see.

theres another similarity the rear shock of the sp will fit the TRX...don't throw that away and put the front end on it while at it too. you can you the 750 motor as an ornate cigerette lighter then

That´ll suit me then. I´m mixing a lot of parts between my bikes.

Got a yzf 750 SP..?Yammi...where are you in the world.?
has it got the flats and ohlins standard..an SP ?

Hi Alex, I´m from Sweden.
It´s an SP alright. Early one from -93 imported by previous owner from Germany.
Not fully original as you can see in the pic as it was when I bought it.
They dont got the rear Ohlins as standard until -95. This one has 39mm Keihins FCRs and
a close ratio box. This is a bike for the track because it works the best keeping it in the higher revs.
It does 85mph in the first gear and it certainly has the flat spot issue. I had it for street use but
slaughtered it for parts to my T-ace project. The leftovers is saved for a racebike project in
the future. Race fairing, YEC stuff (if I find any and can afford), Ohlins suspension, 520 conversion
and so on.
At the moment my interest points at TRXes. Trying to find one as cheap as
possible for a new project.

You would likely make a good deal of money from having the YZF750SP back together, they are quite rare and desireable nowadays and prices (in the UK at least) are reflecting that.

Bought it last year for almost £1500. It has about 55000 kms on the meter.
Driving in the streets made me miss some torque so the idea was to put a T-ace
engine in it. Bought a wrecked T-ace in the end of last years season but changed
my mind about the engine swap. Thought it was a shame ruin a SP bike completely.
Instead I started out to work with the T-ace saving most of the SP to a project like this
in the future.
Working with the T-ace all winter, it turned out to this for a couple of weeks ago.
It´s 1k clearcoat on it so it has to dry off for some more time before the
stickers gets on. My first fullfilled project ever. Not much for the shiny new
bike look. A used look is ok for me just as it´s safe and clean.
We´ve really gone off topic here.
And it´s not about TRXes either.

It`s ok, off topic here is acceptable (to a degree), I`m the worlds worst for it actually.
Oh and the Ace motor in the YZF750 chassis makes a very capable tool, I`ve known quite a few folk who have done it.

The red/white bike is a modified Thunderace (lot of R1 parts you might recognize).
Dressed as a YZF750.
