what are my forks off

Post by dixonj » Sun Mar 04, 2012 8:37 pm

Does anyone on here know what these forks are off ?. I purchased the bike last year and was told they were off a yzf 750, but looking at forks on ebay they seem to have different mountings for the mudguard the reason I am asking is that all my bike needs now is new discs and I don't want to buy the wrong ones.

Hmmm, well they appear to have been `scallopped` out to accept the gold spots which would indicate that they are YZF750 but I`ll admit compared to Alex`s on this thread:

They are certainly different in the mudguard mountings and the rebound adjuster on the bottom of the fork leg too. :?
Maybe yours are earlier or later varients J, From a YZF 750 SP perhaps?

yer I filed them out with a hand file to accept the gold spot calipers the front mudguard looks like a late fzr 1000. I know the 94-95 yzf 750 are a different fitment see link

Quote the disc rotor overall diameter, number and diameter of the disc bolts and their PCD`s (pitched circle diameter) and let the suppliers decide which you need.

I had a 1992 Exup RU and didn`t have to file the legs down to get Blue spots to fit??

There could have been a change from the 1992 to 95 ...I`ll check in my manual but I don`t remember a leg change off the top of me head.

.p.
Mostly Harmless....unless catering is shut.
