Gidday Paul,
Is this the same Innovate O2 sensor set up you went with???
http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/MTXL.php

I've got another wiring loom so I can rebuild it to suit my other modifications and I figured I may as well incorporate whatever I need to for the O2 sensors.
Looking at the ones I've listed they may be different and have the controller built into the gauge.

Time to get my head around something else now

I just noticed a dual set up they have now 8) 8)

There's a magnet on a disc that is positioned on the taco needle axle and another 2 magnets positioned at 0kph and 180kph.
When the magnets align on 0 or 180 kph this sends the signal to the ECU for the limiter to come into play.
So even if you try to disconnect your speedo cable , with the needle at 0kph , the limiter still kicks in..
Being the inquisitive type , I had a spare 180kph import speedo and pulled it apart to find out.
Find a 300kph speedo from a yzf750 dash or a trashed Trx one and put that in.

If you can find which wires carrying the signal would it be possible to just pull the pin from the ECU input plug?

Not exactly the same, This is the one I have:
http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/db.php

But I prefer the one you linked to, having the controller integrated into the gauge.

Wiring wise there is not much splicing into the loom so I wouldnt worry about faffing about with another one. You just need to take power off the exiting loom. I took got power from the battery but went through a relay switched off the tail light so it would turn on and off with the ignition. Other than that there is not splicing into the loom.

The dual set up is excessive, you can swap the sensor over in not time and toy will have the carbs set the same so I cant see the point.

Excellent, thanks Paul.
Got one on the way for $250.
Will easily spend that on dyno time to get things right.
I'll just add an extra power outlet that I can patch into and when not in use a sealed connector to plug into it.

MTX-L kit comes with 1 bung. If you need another they are easily sourced online for about $12.

Hi Paul. Just wanted to record an official hats off to you mate. Your bike is beautiful. I only wish I had a small fraction of the mechanical skills that you Qnslnd. Trixie boys seem to have in such abundance . Well done sir!

thanks for the compliment mate, not a Queenslander though. Originally from Ireland and living in Sydney.

All self taught on the mechanical side, like many on here. Just get a few tools and a workshop manual and you will be surprised what you can do!

Had a bit of luck last week.

A mate with a GSXR 750 track bike was having some clutch problems he needed to sort as he is selling the bike. He asked me to have a luck and offered me the shock out of his tracky in payment.

Bit of a win as the clutch was easy to fix and the shock is one of these:

http://shop.penskeshocks.com/PENSKE-RAC ... BLE-SHOCK/

is a nice Penske unit, adjustable for lenght, preload, compression and rebound.

Stroke is 8mm more than the TRX but the length is spot on. Fitted it, set the sag and went out for a bit of a spin tonight and I am pretty chuffed. As expected with a shock upgrade it is far more effective at damping. So better over bumps, less squatting and just more confidence inspiring.

I have yet to use it in anger but definitely a step up from the R6 shock. The R6 shock was not bad by any means but if you have ridden on a good quality after market shock you will know what I mean

Very happy, not a cheap shock and only cost me a few hours spanner work

his bike was a 2000 gsxr750, but its an after-market shock and it is adjustable for length. The stock GSXR shock could be made to fit though. The stroke is 10mm more than the TRX
