I just set my trip meter to 0 every time I refuel and refuel every 120 miles - coz personally I find it way too fiddly to do on the move

Re: Fuel tap mod...Pingel Replacement

Post by PaiGuy » Sat Mar 12, 2016 12:21 pm

Read the older posts regarding the mods...Just wondering if anyone has figured out the Correct Pingel part number? I do not need the vacuum goofy-ness...my tap is a throw away/needs rebuild. I have used Pingel taps on many race bikes...but their site is confusing and they do not know about the TRX. They have a Yamaha YZF450F tap that looks like similar mounting, and a few more. They also have Yamaha adapters for some bikes, but no hole dimensions.
I have written them, but like too many companies these days...somewhat poor customer service. No response in a month.
Thanks! Jay

Press the point with them in another email, threaten to put information regarding their lack of responses on motorcycle forums, they`ll respond. ;)
