Just got my first TRX (stablemate for my TDM) and, being over 6' tall, really need some clip on bar risers. I see this has been the subject of a few posts but, can anyone give me an "off the shelf" solution? Cheers.

You can drill and tap or even drill and use nuts / bolts through the stock top yoke, between the webs. In fact I think Kayla did this. I have a stock top yoke I would part with if you want to try this. Alternatively you can go down the billet top yoke and risers avenue.
I`ll have an ABM billet top yoke and risers available soon if you are interested, very good condition not scratched or dinked?

Mine will be a lot cheaper than that, only taking it off the bike because I`m going down the R1 front end route with custom yokes.

I have a pair which clamp onto the fork leg above the top yoke, never got round to fitting them and have since bought an LSL top yoke.

Thanks for the prompt feedback guy's much appreciated. I'll check out swapping the clip ons over, otherwise Kojak, give me a price for your clamp on risers if you fancy selling them.

That all looks straightforward enough, understand the roll pin and bolt head differeces, cheers. The photo clearly shows what you've done, thanks again! Just posted a pic of my bike on the members rides page. Needs a bit of tidying and a few little jobs but that's part of the attraction!

Before you steam in and undo all of the controls and stuff, undo the allen bolts holding the bars to the clamps and just swap the clamps over- loads easier!

Even easier! Glad I joined this forum yesterday, valuable lessons learned already!
Thanks all.

ditto kayla.
plus the bars have locating holes for the switch gear which wont line up on the other blocks.
cheers

ps i had alloy spacers turned up (like bicycle stem spacers) for my bars; 10mm rise under the clamps and the locator bolts.
seems to work for me.

yip, thats what i did 20 mins max to swap over... think i had to loosen the brake hose...clamp black springy thing that attached to the master cylinder to get enough length on the brake hose, but it'll go back on after with no probs...
I had my TRX for around 7 years before i realised this mod... and must say it makes a big difference gotta be at least 2 inches higher

It was certainly worth me asking the question, only had my TRX for 7 days and I'm sure lifting the bars will make a big difference!
Thanks again all for the detailed advice, job for this weekend I think, then a blast through the Peak District!

With just turning over the clip on's do you need to extend any of the cables?

I've just tried changing over the clip-on clamps and it works for raising the bars without any other modifications, the only problem for me was I found the angle and sweep of the bars in this configuration uncomfortable so I've swapped them back and will try to get some spacers made as show in another thread, definitely worth a try to see how it feels and it's only 10 minutes work to switch them back,so you've nothing to loose.

I used spacers for a while.
Ok for tootling around, but once i set the bikes up with rearset plates, dropped the fork tubes thru an extra 15mm and raised the rear with projection link plates by 20mm, i gave the spacers a miss.
Much better front end ' feel ' and control without.
Imho.
Cheers
