Here's a few pics of the Thundercat forks fitted to my bike. It was pretty straightforward and the spacers were perfect (thanks Greg!).

YZF750 mudguard looks a little Bodgitt & Scarper at the mo- nothing a few minutes with a heat gun won't sort but it'll do for now





You should be able to see the new spacers between the speedo drive and spacer and fork legs. Can't get the last 10mm of the front scrubbed in

Polishing nerds- Yes, my bike is scruffy but it works and it's great.

I had to bite the bullet and fit higher bars as my back is a bit knackered at the minute. Hopefully clip-on service will be resumed soon.

...and the only way you'll scrub in the last 10mm of a front is to low-side it!!

Kayla if you're refering to the bottom legs sticking out too much at the front then that's how they are. Got YZF one fitted to my FZR forks & it's the same as yours from the front, wider at the bottom. Looks fine to me.

So will be waiting a taste test now mate.. Same length as the trx ones are they as such so can use your old springs if need be??(or space them to suit if slightly longer)Notice you have a rebound setting on the bottom of the fork to tinker with also.. You also have shorter dogbones too from memory dont you?? so a fair few mods done now suspension wise....

Yep, I'm taking it the long way round to work today The forks have compression and rebound and I think the springs are a higher rate than the standard TRX ones. The legs are the same length and I've got them set with 45mm showing above the top yoke. I just re-oiled the forks with 5wt (as standard T'cat) with the standard amount and they're set near enough standard on the adjusters so I've got a base to work from. New shock next!

he's not wrong (well, it's virtually impossible to scrub them to teh edges anyway)

Thanks all I'm going to go back to the clip-ons as although the higher bars are more comfortable, there's not as much feel and they're a little too 'IAM' for my liking I'll get some ally plate and make some plates to move the rearsets up and back too- in for a penny...

Hey, I managed to scrub in the whole tyre on the right side...






...by _very_ nearly lowsiding it on a diesel-soaked roundabout.

Try it, it's fun!

The forks seem to work well and feel plusher and more composed than the TRX forks but that could just be down to having fresh oil in them. The stuff that came out of them was like water, only runnier. I'm pretty chuffed with how it's turned out.

Hiya,

All you need is the Thundercat forks as they fit straight into the TRX yokes. You need two spacers to go between the fork lowers and standard spacers. That's it! I'd advise you to measure your own spacers as every bike's different.

(This is the axis of wheel spacers?)
