WIDE REAR END? R1 R6 ?
What would work without doing to much work?
I would like to put a 200 tyre on it.
Dished sprockets?
Offsets?
Any advice?
I don't need to keep standard swing arm and it would be nice if I could find a 200 or bigger wheel that would work without having to have the wheels out of alignment.
Want to keep 3 spoke look.
Any clues received with thanks.

the standard swingarm wont take it.. 180 is tight.
I run a 2000 R1 swingarm, i run a 190 tyre, and can get a 200 if i wanted. Saying that, im going back to a 180 next time i buy a tyre. Sure it looks nice, but handling is a... its certainly different

A YZF 750 swinging arm bolts straight in and that should give you the clearance for a 200 section tyre (180 is standard)
The problem is going to be a wheel. No one uses a 200 section as standard so you are looking a modding a rim that takes a 190 (sticking on a 200) and making that fit.
Chain alignment will be a hassle.
And I have to ask - why?

Sorry...meant that an 03 R1 swingarm is pretty close to the shape and size of TRX arm so will fit easier than some others. Runs a 190 iirc so a 200 shouldn't be an issue, bearing in mind a Japanese 207 190 is over 200mm anyhoo.
But I agree.....................why? Gonna have a few "issues" getting alignment sorted.

I won't be using any of those arms - I just wanted to know how people had gotten around the alignment problems with a 200+ tyre and which wheel was the best to use with the least problems.
I can move other things to compensate for the differences.
Like I said, I am going to have to do something radical to make up for not winning TRX of the month

also remember, you will need to get a "dished" front sprocket" for when the chain is placed out more because of a different rear wheel.
If you keep the stock wheel, you will be ok. But if you got down the YZF750 path, ive heard (altho not seen, so im not the best judge here) you may want to look at spacing your front sprocket out so the chain is inline.
I had to make a whole new front sprocket as there was nothing i could buy off the shelf that would space it as much as i wanted. And i use a 190, and its still not enough. Its ok, but its very slightly out.

Just remembered, if you DO change swingarm, please note that you may have to do some mods to your suspension. With my R1 swinger, i had to do EXTENSIVE mods to make it work properly and im still tweaking it. Ive made 3 knuckles for it to get the ratio right. Even after calculating the TRX and R1, making new pieces, etc, it still doesnt feel "right" for me.. Luckily its mostly down to actual settings (preload / rebound / damp).

With a 200 tyre, how far out is the chain?
I am going to move the engine to compensate rather than use a dished sprocket, as I want my "spares" to be standard. I reckon I can probably move it by about 50mm without causing too many problems.
I am not too worried about the suspension aspect.
I want to use a similar pattern (3 spoke) to the existing front wheel.
XJR1300 is a possibility - I guess it depends what comes up on eBay between now and March 31st (when I will have the funds to do it).

You are planning to move the entire engine across the frame to line up the sprockets?
