Rack fitment ?

Post by pwmotorsports » Sat Oct 06, 2007 9:37 pm

seems that the only real option rack wise for the trx is the rentac sport rack ? the ventura is soft luggage only and even the rentac one states its not suitable for top box fitment ? anyone fitted a box have any usefull info ?

Not so.
There is a company who does a rack for the TRX: Hepco & Becker.

Little pricey, and I've never seen a picture of the setup - perhaps you can be the first :D

:D Do you take a pillion, If not what about a rucksac?, I have an 80 litre which is even big enough to put the helmet in.

Looks to be the same as the rentac one ? sure the rentac one could be adapted and its half the price of that one to?

Use a ruck sack at the moment just wanted to get a top box that i can quick release and carry into work with me as ruck sacks seem to allways leak and are not as comfy to carry

It is possible to put a base-plate on the Renntec rack, but I'm not sure how much weight it would reliably support.

I would be reluctant to put my 45 litre Givi case on it if it was full up!

I made a rack with the same mounting as the pillion seat . Could put it on / off loaded as easy as the pillion seat with the added advantage of not putting the weight behind the back wheel
