Hi all,
an inane question
I just tried to fit a set of MTC cans, I was told that the original gaskets - (between down pipe and link pipe) would be ok, however two problems arise.
1) The old gaskets will not come out without ruining them
2) They will not fit anyway.
Anyone tell me where I can get some seals for this or do people use a bandage of some kind to make a gasket the correct thickness? There is precious little difference in the inner and outer diameters (about 1.5mm) of the pipes but the clamp will no way take up the slack.
Glyn..

Exhaust Seal
I had this same problem when I fitted Motad Venom pipes to my TRX. I fixed this problem by applying a high temp silicone gasket called ultra copper made by Loctite which you apply like tooth paste and you leave it overnight so it expands to create a seal between your link pipe and end pipe. You can purchase this product from Halfords or simliar car accessorie shop.
