sv 650 mirrors - does anyone have a picture?

Post by yam_trx » Tue May 08, 2007 7:32 pm

Hi, I have read that the mirrors off the sv650 will fit the trx. I am a bit unsure how they will look, does anyone have a picture of the mirrors in place on a trx? Are there any other mirrors to consider?
Cheers, Phil.

Hi, thanks for the pics, are they sv650 mirrors? If so which year? I have seen some but they have much shorter arms.
Cheers, Phil.

Hi!

Sorry... but i like the mirrors of the SZR much more! And it´s a part of Yamaha ;-)

I´ve got no picture of my TRX ... but this link will show you the mirrors at the "original SZR660" ;-) http://szr-forum.foren-city.de/topic,59 ... -quot.html

... and they fits very well at the TRX 8)

h1 the SZR mirrors do look good but at 6ft 1in i still wouldn't be able to see past my elbows.

The SV mirrors are from the earlier model SV not sure what year. This listing on ebay says they are the k3 - k6.

sv mirrors

Post by yam_trx » Thu May 10, 2007 11:15 am

Hi, I am currently watching some on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Suzuki-SV650-SV-6 ... dZViewItem

but the look a lot narrower than the ones shown. Thanks for the help as they might have been a waste of time. I will try to find the ones with the longer arms.
Cheers, Phil.

I also want to get rid of my mirrors, they are necessary by regulations but hey I want to get a 'cleaner' look in front. I'm going to try some positions within the bodywork in front with a fake mirror. When I can find a position in which I can see some traffic behind me, I'll search for a solution how to place a mirror at that spot. Just a tiny look for behind will do

Tomorrow I'll find out how to do it

:D Tricx, you could look at mounting small overtaking / close up mirrors ( the ones that stick on to car door mirrors ), on the inside top corners of the screen.
