Got my YZF rear wheel in at last....

After a lot of measuring and mocking-up, I've finally got the wheel spacers machined, sprockets lined up, brake caliper lined up, bearings altered and it all fits great...
New wheel freshly powder coated in JCB yellow to match the front, and sporting a new 180/55 Dunlop Sportmax Qualifier, with a change to a 120/70 of the same brand up front to match.
Not had a chance to go for a blast yet, so can't say how the handling is, but I'll let you know when I have.
Anyone want any measurements etc for the spacers/bearings, let me know.
Dave.

Cheers Ad.
OK, shakedown report:
Been for a quick blast for about 10 miles along some favourite twisty back roads and all is good! And nothing fell off, which is always a bonus!
Handling is soooo much better. Before i had a very quick and sharp (probably too sharp) 'turn in' then it was an effort to tip it over more from there.
Now turn in is much more progressive all the way over. Difficult to tell if this is due to the bigger tyres or just the fact they're new and a decent make/brand!
Acceleration was down, due to the standard gearing but a larger back tyre diameter, so switched the front sprocket to the 15 tooth from 16 and went for another blast and this is much better.
Tyre warm up was good: it's about 16 degrees but by the end they were getting sticky.
Only problem seems to be the back brake rubbing. While it was all in bits I put some new pads in and the gap between them for the disc is obviously smaller. Probably just need to put some grease on the pistons to loosen them up a bit.
All in all very happy
Dave

All specs please, got a big wheel some time ago from a strange bloke in a carpark, apparently he liked the small wheel on his TRX, LOL.

Dave,
Ah, that mysterious strange-bloke-in-a-carpark: I've met him before too.
Sells some good 'stuff' though!
I'll dig out my measurements etc and post 'em up.
Dave.
