Mod list required
Hi guys and girls, my newly acquired TRX could do with some personal touches but i like to keep things subtle.
As a UK member, where would be the best place for me to get hold of the following?;
Rear solo seat cowl
Black grips (slim line, good quality)
Tail tidy
Thanks in advance

If you want to make actual improvements whilst keeping things nice and subtle, you could do worse than:
1. R1/R6/XJR1300 Blue Spot calipers and master cylinder (shop around on eBay and expect to pay 100GBP or so)
2. R6 rear shock from an '02-'05 model - plenty of details here on the forum (expect to pay around 120GBP, including the connector that you'll need from Projection Components)
Even for a mechanical incompetent like me you're only looking at a few hours work to fit the whole lot, and the difference is enormous. Plus, now you've got your hands dirty and your tool kit out, you might as well drop out the forks and give them a bit of loving and some fresh oil.
A great deal more satisfying (and practical!) than a tail tidy imo

Previous ideas are good, but some aftermarket exhaust cans are a must!

Also fitted now a pair of blue flame exhausts, digital clocks, braided lines, footrest hangers...
I just need the parts above. If someone could supply numbers and or links, that would be great.
Thanks!

Hi Mike
A Yamaha single seat cowl is probably pretty rare and costly, keep an eye on ebay and here.
I don't know if any of the after market bodywork people do them. Time to translate a few web sites i guess.
Lots of different grips on ebay and probably tail tidies. I set about my number plate mount with a blade and cut most of the ugly away.
Good luck and enjoy.
Andy.

There is no Yamaha rear seat cowl. Never was.
Some after market bodywork shops have made them, to varying degrees of quality, but never, ever cheap.

Yeah I was asking specially for a tried and tested grip. Some of them just aren't that hard wearing or nice to use, I'm sure some of you could recommend a decent set.andyaber wrote:Lots of different grips on ebay and probably tail tidies..
