Led indicator base, 3d printed

Post by OzzieDave » Thu Jun 22, 2017 9:46 am

After recently being tipped over by a car driver at a stop sign, which damaged the left front indicator, I decided to replace them all with Led indicators.
This required a new support on the inside of the fairing, I decided to make it from 3d printed ABS. After designing it with Tinkercad, I had several test pieces made at the local library. As they could not print them in black, I had them printed locally using a 3d hub printer.
This design is now available for anyone to download and use on Thingiverse, just look under Yamaha TRX850.
I made up an aluminium plate to fit between the faring and the indicator, 3mm thick.
The indicator has a 10mm diam post.
These indicators were purchased via Aliexpress, they did not require a new flasher unit, work fine off the oem unit.
