Double bubble screen

Post by Bostel » Thu Mar 23, 2017 8:43 am

I've been looking to buy a double bubble screen for the trx, but there are different shapes and brands. So which one should I buy?

I really like the one from 'screens for bikes', but that has to come from Australia and I live in Europe (B) so the price including shipping is high.

I can also buy one from Kedo and that is much cheaper, but I don't like the 'cloud-shaped-line' of the screen. Maybe it's just because the picture is taken in front of the bike...

I've also been looking on ebay for one too but that are mostly pictures of the screen only and then its hard to tell how it looks when it's on the bike.

So who has a double bubble screen and can tell me where he bought that?
And a picture with the screen on the bike would be nice too. :)

Thanks!

I have one from GP500:

80€. But it looks like the one from Kedo on your picture.
A double bubble is supposed to look like that. :D

I have the dark grey MRA double bubble. It really makes a difference Compared To the Original Screen. The aerodynamic is way diffrent, especially since i have my handle bars 2cm under the top yoke.
The mra comes with a Sticker, a general operating permit and the thing you wrap over the Edge of the screen.
There is also a touring screen from MRA. Have a Look at it too..

I ummed and ahhhed about double bubble or flip, bought a flip and regretted it. The aero is better than the original but it doesn't look as good, in my opinion the double bubble looks great on the TRX (and most other bikes)

I know it won't help you in the UK. But these are made in Brisbane.

Yep Bargain for the price Craig. I picked 1 up about 6 months ago.
I also made up a small bracket for the bottom attachment of the fairing sub frame that rotates the base of the fairing forward and the bottom attachment bolt now rests on the front of the steering head mounting point to accomidate for the higher ride height on the rear and clip ons mounted under the triple trees and gives it a nice sleek look and performs well for track day work.
I had to make a short plate to extend the radiator/fairing mount point down and the original mount point is just visible so the bolt doesn't rub against the fairing.

That's a good price indeed. I mailed to 'screens for bikes' and they replied:

Price of a standard profile TRX 850 screen in any colour in the last attachment $110.00 AUD
Double bubble TRX 850 screen in any colour in the last attachment $135.00 AUD
Optional extra black rubber trim, supply only $6.00 AUD or supply and fit $15.00 AUD

And that was without shipping.
