First off i want to apologize for making a new thread when Its probably been asked before. I need a quick and good answer.

Will i be able to mount those on my trx?
Ive got access to lathes and mills and so on.
Got a YZF 750 -94 which is complete and running. Was going to swap forks, swing and wheels from that but now a guy want to trade it for The R1 forks and wheels.

Go with the R1 front end and just need to press in the trx stem into the bottom tree.
Does it come with the R1 wheel and discs???

The R1 rear, I'd sell and find a late model R6 rear 5.5" rim/220mm disc only and fit that into the trx swing arm. If you want the braced swing arm look, weld a brace on yourself..
6" R1 rear wheel is more trouble than it's worth handling wise unless your willing to tune suspension and handling around it..
YZF 750 front wheel weighs a ton like the std trx wheel and the 750 swing arm and rim weigh 2 ton..
So you'll gain plenty from the lighter R1 front wheel and light weight R6 wheel... You'll be 4-5kg lighter than the 750 option...
The 750 suspension is pretty primal compared to the later R1 forks and brakes too ...

It comes complete with wheels.
Mostly changing for looks as im making a café racer out of it, altough good handling would be sweet. I have a set of R1 -98 wheels and one set of fz1-07 wheels.

Its also good not to have to take a fully functional yzf apart for pieces ☺

Is a R6 swingarm compatible?
The guy has connections in a mc junkyard and could get me "almost anything" he said.

98 R1 cast alloy wheels are heavy compared to later model bike too. It's just that 1990's early 2000's flavour. If you go with another swing arm, even if you get it central and fitted , the length, travel all play a part in the rising rate suspension.
Shock mounts may differ and dog bone set up and relay arm all need to be addressed too so that's why it's easier and safer to just fit a 5" or 5.5" lighter rear wheel into the standard trx swing arm.
Sounds like you have access to a workshop so put in a little homework and you could weld bracing if your chasing that look.
Is the FZ rear wheel 5.5"???

Sounds like the stock swingarm option is the way to go.

I Will ask him for a R6 5.5 wheel with 220 mm disc from a later model. Fz wheel is 6" i think... But not sure.

Just rebuild the std shock.. Regas and oil..Std rear Spring rate is set up for a 70-75kg rider .
Same issue with other shockies as the damping is set to suit the swing arm length , travel, relay arm ratio and the actual stroke of the shock may not work.
Gsxr early / mid 2000's rear caliper and mount is 220mm and slung under like the trx and will work with a little machining.
You can see how I fitted one in the last few photos on my rebuild thread.

So now Its done. Traded the Yzf complete bike in working but poor condition for a complete 2008 R1 front end with wheel, brakes, bars and everything, plus a 5.5 r6 wheel. Good or not so good trade? ☺

I was a bit stupid and did not check the wheel properly when we made the trade. It has a 240 mm disc, i asked him for a 5,5 wheel with a 220 mm disc, guess its from an earlier model? Will it still fit? Heavier i guess, but... maybe its best to find a later model wheel?

The rear wheel is from a 2006 FZ6 and has a 245 mm disc...

Hi, if you want the braced look I'm an ally fabricator and can fully brace your YZF 750 swingarm. Check out my own TRX project on my Facebook account ettomotorcycles. The current project has a Ducati 749 front end, Brembo brakes, Marchesini wheels and the fully braced YZF swingarm and one off bespoke replica ally fuel tank (traditionally hand made in 1.5mm aluminium). As far as I'm aware the only replica TRX aluminium tank ever built!!!. The tank only weighs 2.9kg. next steps will be making a light weight sub frame and then fitting a tuned engine.

Hi, glad you like it. Its only very slightly larger than a normal tank, as I use a TRX tank as a former (ensuring its details are the same as the original). So the difference is the thickness of the ally - 1.5mm. I then fit a race filler cap, internal vent and explosafe foam (used by racers to stop fuel surge). It looks bigger, as the seat units cut off and now sports a smaller light weight ally sub-frame.
