Hi all I want to change the forks on my TRX but want something different to r1 usd type.. .I have been offered a complete front end from a triumph t595 my only concern is that the forks are shorter 72cm compared to trx 77.5...but as I have my forks approx 5cm through the top yoke I guess it is about the same
has anyone has experiance with the t595 forks ? They have 320 discs so I need to re space the caliper mounts for my blue spots ( or fit Triumph calipers ) and i will have to sort the steering stem hopefully using my TRX stem...any thoughts would be great thanks.

I had the same dilema last year, when I posted a similar question about using a Ducati front end as I didn't want to do the R1 thing... not there is anything wrong with that, I just wanted to be different, and awkward.

The resounding response was, anything will fit... if you make it. How much of the front end have you been given? I bought an Aprilia with full Ohlins that I'm eyeing up transplant across but its pretty involved, so I've taken a short cut initially and bough a set of R6 conventional forks until funds and time allow a full-on transplant.

Having owned a try & t595 for a short while the triumph front end is much lower so may lead to problems. Stick with the t595 brakes they're brilliant.

Get a stepped billet yoke made for the top tree to give you the extra height required and to keep your rake in check.

Thanks guys I was thinking of using a flat bar converted top yoke as I am running high bars at the moment ..I have been offered forks with yokes ..front wheel with discs..front spindle and speedo drive and a front mudguard..I do like the look of the 595 front end and they must be an improvement over stock forks...as I said they are 5cm shorter than trx forks but I do run mine 5cm through the top yoke so if I fit the 595 forks flush with the new top yoke they should be the same length ..or am I getting this wrong thanks for your help

5mm is really immaterial - you'll get that back on preload. It's almost certain that the trail angle will be different with the Triumph set up - might make the bike a bit twitchy - but that can be overcome

BOLLOCKS the forks have been sold so I have missed out not to worry I will look for something else ..thanks for your help.

The moral of this story is to drink more and impulse buy... Sorry you missed out, something else will pop up.
