Cafe Racer

Post by SimonJ » Wed Sep 09, 2015 11:41 pm

Hey guys, picked up a real nice TRX850 a couple of weeks ago and i am slowly rebuilding her...
Decided to build a Cafe Racer and just wanted to know how many others on here have gone that way, looking for some inspiration :-)
I will be going all naked, looking at getting the tank, from guard and new cafe style seat Carbon dipped :-)
Bought my stuff from Melbourne , if it comes out as good as this one i will be a happy lad!

I purchased some nice Danmoto exhausts, it's going to be loud, the only problem i might have is that i have removed the rear exhaust brackets.
Hoping the exhaust will not jump around on the bike....

Also purchased K&N filter, chrome handle bar mirrors, single chrome speedo, low handlebars, tiny indicators etc... Its adding up =D>

Any build photos or tips would be highly appreciated

Hi Simon, have you had any prices to the carbon dipping yet?
I'm looking to do the same.

I am getting my done in Lismore, but Jeff would be the best guy to talk to, he's up in Ashmore (Gold Coast)
His FB page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Funky-Hy ... 56?fref=ts
He said around 600 - 700 for Tank, guard and seat. If you were doing the full fairing it would be a little more.
Wheels cost around 200 each....
