i cant get free carbon fibre @ work, else i would have made it from that.
It was originally 25mm (1") thick alloy plate, plasma cut it roughly to size on our profile cutter, and then machined the rest.. It will be polished as to match the rest of the bike.
Ill post pics later next week when its finished and all completed and lookin sexy..
I choose to quote good ol' S.R.Hadden..
"why build one when you can make two at twice the price"..

If you want to get the carbon look you could always buy some Foliatec carbon film... works really well if you heat it up with a hair dryer...
when I bought my car all the interiors were wooden look...i bought the film from foliatec and put it over, everyone thinks it´s the original stuff

Or i could just leave the dash as it is.. Im more than happy with how it came out
Dont mind the rusty rear disk brake bolts... Not put stainless ones in there as yet and it rained the other day and yer... kinda had some fun with them.. Same with the front disk as you may notice.. Nothing a quick spin around the block didnt fix
Enjoy..

wait till you see then next thing ive got planned .. already in the works..
And this one isnt small... well, it a bit larger than the dash...
Anyone with guesses ? feel free..
For the record, the speedo is a Cateye Astradale 8 push bike computer, good for 299km/h.. reads in 0.1km/h increments. The wiring has been hidden behind the left fork leg and sensor is inserted into the disk brake stud..
Hope that makes sence.
