Hello, just been removing the carbs prior to dropping the engine and as I pulled the fuel line off the carbs something dropped out and I haven't yet been able to find it ! I guess this is the inline mesh type filter , if I cant find it would anyone know where I can get a replacement or would it be ok to fit an aftermarket external inline filter there instead of it?

I did the same thing. I 've been using a small clear inline filter for a while. Most automotive spares shops sell them.
Mine appears to be only 1/3 full of fuel most of the time but the engine's never missed a beat.

I found the filter when I removed the frame and will probably refit it but may fit an external clear filter too , thanks anyway Bucko.
