Here is a link to the thermo fan switch I'm currently using.

Std TRX850 fan switches on around 107*c and turns back off at 95*c .

The switch on the link cuts in at 95*c and cuts out at 85*c.

Local in Brisbane and free shipping so I had mine within 48hrs.

The blade terminals are the same size as the TRX just a little wider apart on the switch so I made up 2 small male/female adaptor leads .

Does it keep the motor cooler? I was also wondering about waterless coolant?

What it does do is helps manage the temperature better.
You get stuck in traffic the temperature will of course rise.

It just manages to keep the temperature from rising too high too fast if that makes sense.
It would now have to be an extreme situation for the temperature to rise and stay above 95 - 100*c
Not just stuck in a little traffic or at lights on a hot summer day if using the std thermo switch.

Good value I think if you use your trx for your daily commute. Especially with Australian summers.
I find mine runs around the 75-85*c and the fan very rarely switched on with the lower value switch apart from the conditions I mentioned above.
75-85* seem to be the optimum temp range for the trx motor so it just keeps you closer to these values .(turns the fan on 10*c above optimum, then switches off at the top of the optimum value.95*c on-85*c off)
The water is used to keep the chamber temperature down and from what I have learnt is too much heat = loss of power.
If you can keep the motor closer to the optimum running temperature, it's just 1 less bit of stress on your motor.
It may only use the thermo fan once in a blue moon but I'm sure your motor will appreciate it.
