Hey folks
I'm looking at doing my first few replacements/mods to my TRX. Looking at my worn sprockets, they will go first.
Question: Is 17 front and 42 rear sprocket a good upgrade for mostly street riding / commuting? I do the odd track day and wk end fang.
Will a 42 rear sprocket off a TDM fit? I heard it does.
Will this give better low end acceleration and torque or will it wear the gear box out?
Is there a preferred site to look for such sprockets? Or would we think an e-bay find would be reliable?
Any info is greatly appreciated.
Thanks folks

Re: Sprocket upgrades
My preference would be a 16 / 40 as its close to the same ratio as the 17/42 but it allows you the option to change the front to a 17 if you choose to use a taller gearing. It also keeps your rear axle position close to std so no need change your suspension settings and damping .
Front sprockets are $25 and easy to swap around if goin touring .
