Upsd conversion
For quite some time I'm figuring out the possibilities for a upsd conversion.
Browsing through the divers topics here on this subject, it came to my attention that there are a lot of experts present. The most likely conversion is a R1 conversion but I found this one on a French forum.

Does anyone have any experience with this? According to the guy it can be placed with none/little adjustments. The upsd comes of a FZR1000. Are these things hard to come by? Are they cheaper then a R1-version?[/url]

have a look here for some ideas
http://www.trxfiles.webgti.net/trx850-suspension.asp
The try searching this site and the old one http://www.trx850.myfreebb.com (even though that site is unreliable and has now been spammed to death!)
and if you come up with no answers, try PMing someone who has done it - there's plenty of us
the blue and white bike with the R1 front end belongs to Stormy and Quan-time has an R1 front end as well
Both me and Honk have a YZF front end

If you give me some measurements, i can help you sort out a solution.
sorry about the shit quality shot but:

This is a 2000 R1 forks (i think, they are blue top) and had a fair bit of customising to do..
If you provide me some measurements and stuff, i can talk you thru your options, and if need, i can even make the parts you require (i live in South Australia) and mail or whatever...
I will need the fork width (like, centre of one fork to the centre of the other) cos im guessing that the wheels will be different width) the diameter of the hole in the top triple clamp, the lower triple clamp, the distance between the top and bottom triple clamp (measure from the bottom of the top piece, to the top of the bottom piece, that gap in there) should give me a fairly good idea..
Oh, and the over all length of the fork, from the top, to the centre of the axle..
Provide this and im sure the fine members around here can help you sus it all out..

I've found this upsd on a Dutch site: http://www.marktplaats.nl/index.php?url ... %253D%253D
Is this a possible good bargain and an alternative to a R1 or YZF 750 upsd?
