Just as a side note I doubt we would ever get to a stage where we would want to market this.

Talking to my father in law who I am building it with, he made a good point that the market for this stuff is set to diminish considerably as all the modern sportsbikes are starting to come with dataloggers on them now. plus it only appeals to very specific set of people.

I would prefer to keep it on a hobby type basis and have a more open source type approach with people contributing to its development.

Last night I was looking into the possibility of switching from arduino to raspberry pi. Not immediately but I suspect at some point in time I am going to need the higher powered processor to cope with all the things I want it to do.

I'm having a hard time finding the actual 'lean angle' of a standard TRX. Does anybody know this? What lean angle have you measured, Coxylaad??
Wherever you go, there you are.

I know I had fallen off at 90 degrees
Use an angle reading app and attach your phone to the tank.
Lean the bike over to the left until the alternator case touches the floor of your garage.
This will give you a pretty good ballpark as scraping the case on trackdays can be achieved by the very keen...

I've just picked up on this thread - impressive stuff cooxxxxy. Remember to factor in suspension travel when you use the cobba method of lean angle.

What you're talking about is swooshing over my heed - but I do remember some wags adding a bit of electrical wire laced with 10 x 8mm nuts attached to my yoke top of my race bike to count down the laps when I missed the last lap flag the previous race - bastards!
