Are quickshifters available for the TRX850 or are they only designed for fuel injected bikes?

You could by a mechanical QS and refit a TCIP4 from ignitech, it has kill input.
I have one in the garage but haven´t bothered as i´ve heard they can be a betch getting setup correct.
...i´m also quick enough

The TRX box is pretty slick and will happily allow you to upshift without the clutch,

that said i recently rode a Daytona 675 with one and it was pretty nice

They do make them for carb'd bikes I'm in the process of buying one because my gearbox has shat itself on my gsxr through harsh up shifts on track. Look up "translogic quickshifters" they look good, guess they are a bit pricey. Found a chap who could do a full kit for £300inc vat though

Hmmm, I don't know enough about these type of things, but the website for some reason, look a bit dodgy. There is another more recent thread that has a bit more info

Yes, this is true, but just back off slightly and momentarily and click up, no clutch

That´s the thing with a shifter, no backing off.
And really, even if i did what you suggest it felt like the motors where gonna crasch! :)
Now smoother than my butt after sleeping in butter for a week....

Wire the kill switch through the horn button - just press the button as you upshift 8)

Used it on most of my race bikes in the 80s
