It moves the chain out, to allow for the wider yzf 750 wheel.

Always was under the impression there was no mods needed for a yzf/thunderace do you defo need one of these?

Maybe I should check the state of my chain/sprocket after the 5000 miles it's done!

made a lazer alignment tool and the off set is 6.0mm when using a YZF/thunderace swing arm.

When I get back in my garage I will take some photos with the chain on using the standard sprocket and some with the offset sprocket. Check how close the chain is to your swingarm, turning the rear sprocket only moves the chain over slightly and closer to the bracing on your swingarm to the point that it will mark it slightly.

Measurements for the yzf / thunderace swing arm pivot end with no caps on 253mm same as the TRX the wheel end YZF is 273mm and the TRX is 261mm a difference of 12mm so you will need to run an offset sprocket of 6mm to enable the chain to run in alignment. We have done this to our bikes and all lines up perfect, wheels are in alignment.

Any one else interested in this mod?

I've been watching my chain dance around all over the place due to poor alignment since i fitted the yzf rear. It gets perilously close to the swing arm too due to reversing the sprocket too.

Talking to Dixonj, this is not a cheap sprocket but worth it for chain alignment i reckon. As it is a modded sprocket, price may come down with numbers, so anyone else up for it?

Guessing someone could try an old sprocket machined down and fitted like a spacer.

Had a blast with my yzf rear, one thought tho, the chain adjuster marks we use to align the wheel, if the corresponding marks aren't aligned correctly,then that would be something similar ?

I asked myself the questions, did the chain ever line up with the plastic guide on the yzf swing arm?

Does the chain run that close to the swing arm on a yzf750?

Did a fair bit of playing around getting the wheel straight in the swing arm but always resulted in dancing chain.
