Don`t see why not, can you use a TIG plant?

How hard can it be :D
That sort of pipe bender will not work on thin walled tube, you need the type with followers, also if we are wanting tapered headers, the bend former will need to be tapered. I used to work at Aeroquip, and we bent a lot of tube, usually with automatic CNC benders. It is quite tricky

I think coxylaad was referring to making up the collector sections only (?) to enable a 2 into 1 or 2 into 2 can set up to be used.

well I was talking about possibly making the lot!

I have other options for pipe bending too. I work very closely with a company that supplies tubes all over the world and I think they have a big bender

would be great if we could manage to achieve this within the forum at a reasonable price, especially if we have access to benders or even big benders, hopefully not wearing leather chaps!

Tungsten inert Gas, basically you create an arc nbetween the tugsten tip and work in an inert gas shield and use a filler rod to weld. It is a sort of cross between Mig, and gas welding. Used extensively welding stainless and aluminium

I would be interested in a 2 in to 1 system if the price is right . I was looking to make one over the winter and have made a parts list up from merlin motorsport.(mainly jetex exhaust parts) looking at about 120 quid worth of bends etc

They do a stainless y piece 44.5mm twin in to 50.8mm single outlet which should be spot on for the collector, i was looking at using stainless mandrel bends and fab the rest up from there.(i would tack it then get a good welder to finish it :D )

If we can get a good price i will hold off ordering the bits or if someone wants to make some 45mm headers it would save alot of work.

I might be interested to, 2-1-2 that is... Does someone do some calculating for getting the best performance, bends, lengths, tapering etc? Would it be too much to ask for allowing enough space also for YZF750 swingarm and possibly room for ajusting rear ride-height? The chain fouls my current system from MAB if i'm not 100 with chain tension, and that's with standard ride heigth.

I know what Tig welding is, I have just not heard of a 'plant'

It`s a simple welders `term` for their equipment, `welding plant` is commonly used in engineering shops by welders.
