Hi guys
I have some crash bungs I’d like to fit but the bolts that hold the engine head and where you are supposed to fit the crash bungs aren’t long enough for mine. I got my crash bungs second hand, they are not branded and possibly one offs hence my post.
Can you shed a light on where on the web I can get some bolts for this, what metal type I should go for and also what size thread size/length the standard ones they are?
Thanks
Adrien

I think the bolt lengths were printed on the installation instructions I got with the bungs I got for both the TRX and the Triumph. I'll check later.
Got mine from eBay: crashbobbins.com for half the price of a set of R&G's.

Hey up try this site:
http://www.a2stainless.co.uk/M10-x-1-25 ... 22N5W.aspx
The standard bolts for the front mount are M10 x 1.25mm x 35mm Socket Cap. Work out what extra length you need over standard and find the correct length bolt

RHS Bolt: M10 x 130mm
LHS Bolt: M10 x 140mm
IIRC, the advert for the bungs stated that they were stainless steel bolts.
Get appropriate washers for inside the bungs.
There are also alloy spacers that go between the bung and the frame. The fitting instructions say that they're both the same size, but doesn't state how big they are, I'd guesstimate between 40-50mm long and possibly 16/17mm in diameter (with obviously a hole big enough for an M10 to fit through).
These might be the sticking point if you don't have them.

You could try the hose fitting with a nut on the end. Kevtrx first did it... Works a treat, I did it to mine. I will see if I can find the original post...

Thanks for the info guys, I reckon something like M10 x 1.25 x 55mm would do the trick!
The bungs I have are a one piece aluminum thing I think that fit in the frame and then stick... reading about the hose system, I was wondering if mine would actually mess up the frame in case of a crash?! I'll try to take a picture tomorrow if I can!
