Re: Them's the Brakes!
2 Hours, 6 beers & lot of Dodgy Brothers making do, I ended up with this:
Don't laugh at the hose clamps, it was all I had
The MC uses a much smaller hose than the old one, need to order a few more bits from Mr. Yamaha to neaten eveything up, but will do for now.
The action is a lot more pregressive, with a lot less initial bite. This is a bit scary when you forget that & blast off into traffic
Better than caffeine!
My commute is about 15km, by the end of it, I had the hang of it, really progressive feel, I could feel the rear starting to lift & still felt in control, very happy

Renting mate, the landlords lucky I could be bothered putting 3 million screws in it to keep the dogs in.
I told him we needed a new fence, he came & looked at it & said I'd done such a good job it didn't need replacing

The beers or the time? 'Cos I reckon I could have done the M/C in an hour if I had all the right bits...Stankflapper wrote:Champions effort!

Cheers! There was a lot of head scratching & beer drinking, you may be onto something there...trixynut wrote:Maybe it was the 6 beers that made it take 2hrs!!

New clamps & hose ordered from Mr. Yamaha, 10 days from Japan, we'll see about that.
Oh, & I angled the levers down a little, because the brake lever was catching on the fairing bracket before full lock. Oops.
