Rear shock options?

So it looks I might be able to hold on to my TRX850 after all, so looking at shock upgrade options.
Rebuilding stock seems not a option, well don´t know it a shop can open it as rebuild it, but thinking of replacing it.

YSS is a cheap option I see,
Bitubo?
Wilbers?

Only ride roads, so looking on a good for money option

First, a heartily welcome to the forum - have fun here and in the real world!

Then, rebuilding the stock one is indeed an option - it depends on whether you know a good shop to do it: Franz Racing in Germany has a very good reputation and did the rear shock of my Race-TRiXie very well!

However, also depends on where you live whether this information is useful for you ...

It is possible to rebuild the existing shock absorber. I had mine done in Brisbane by RAD Shocky Repairs so I'm sure you can find someone to do it where you are.

There are plenty of places here in Finland that will service stock rear shocks. Usually the only difficult part is finding the right size seal for the rod inside the shock itself. However, even then most of them are similar to something else and replacements can be found. You could ask Eppu at Fillariosa if he could do it (he's a really nice guy) or if he knows who else can. I know a guy in Vantaa that can do it but Eppu is a suspension specialist and knows his stuff!

Well worth rebuilding the std trx shock. Spring to your weight and damping can be changed to suit the purpose and/or riding style. ( track, sports/ spirited riding, day to day riding )
Std unit is quite a good shock when refreshed and cheapest option.
