Swing Arm/cafe race seat

Will be getting frame powder coated soon,and will need to clean up the swing arm,I've got all the obvious oil and grime off it,but it still a bit tatty,I'd like to keep origeonal so don't wanna paint it,or have to rub it down,any ideas will be welcome.
Also I going for the cafe look,done front end this year,chrome headlamp,polished forks ect,now im looking to fit a cafe race seat unit,any one got one for sale let me know,
I'll need this before I get the frame gets done,co's I'll need to a bit of cutting and welding,depending on what style of unit I get.
