Proof is not in the pudding but in the For Sale section

Post by danno » Fri Sep 20, 2013 7:13 pm

I've just realised something. Apart from need being impatient...but there are hardly any spares that come up for sale. This has just dawned upon me it's because the TRX850 is the mutts nuts, ultra reliable and long lasting.
All I'm after is a set of header pipes as I currently have a 2-1 akraponyourbitch.
Damn that good reliability.

:?:
You want to get rid of your Akra headers and place original ones instead?!
You do know that the Akras are getting rare and expensive?
Original headers pop up for sale every now and then. Shouldn't be too hard to get.

I agree...............most TRX owners would give their right arm for a full Akra system  Why ever go back to stock unless you have a mint original condition collectable bike?

Plenty of spares available through the forum and on Ebay :)

Oh I agree, but that's what I'm trying to achieve...a future classic. Almost everyday I look on the forum and eBay, yet barely anything at all. EBay has two manifolds at the mo neither look great and more expensive than I thought (neighbourban spent £20 on zzr 600 exhaust...and they have have twice as many pipes!)
Hmmm should I sell the ohcrapimstuckinaditch system? What sort of money are they going for?

I'm on 5200, tax has 2 months left for this year, but weather is turning shite so paddock stands, oil up & warm garage are on the horizon.
