Couldn't agree more, we're due Summer any time now.. 'Course it'll have to be somewhere central, somewhere with good road connections that people can get to.. Somewhere like Leicestershire? Or take over Matlock?

Two options really I reckon,
1 - a meet up as 'in hello old bean awfully nice to meet you.' Then maybe a little ride somewhere. Good points are you meet your mates, check each others rides out and go for a run. Bad points are people are reluctant to ride possibly 100 + miles to do this and by the time you get there your nackered and thinking of going home, and you can never find anywhere to suit everyone :?
2 - [and I think this is what DJ is imagining] A meet up as in, stay somewhere Friday and have a few bevvies and a bit of a jibberjabber, Saturday a proper run somewhere, Saturday evening on the lash talking bullshit, Sunday a genteel bimble home.

Over on TW we do [1] 5-6 times a year to make sure everyone gets a bit of the action  . But by far the best turnouts are for [2] the weekend away. We usually have 2 of them a year, a southernish one and a northernish one, that way it gives peeps a bit of time to organise stuff and make it easier to get to either or both.

I vote for both, but a no2 would be ace next year. Who knows, maybe Mince will get the old girl out

Yep second option for me too plus if we organise it for next year people are able to plan Hollidays and the like this way everyone gets affair chance of attending. We have got to beat the guys down under on numbers

Seems to be a lot of members with track bikes, so why not have a track weekend somewhere like Cadwell park. This way we would get to meet more members, any thoughts ?.

I would be along if it was at a trackday, Cadwell is a good place for a social gathering wether you go on track or not.
I would feel a bit of a wally bringing it to a pub car park on a trailer though.
Plan is to put together a basic road kit for next year though.

I agree Dave. I would be trailering my TRX behind my Berlingo and think a track meet would be good for those who do and don't want to ride.

Cadwell is on my list for 2014 with Silverstone and Oulton. All new circuits for me as I'm way down south.

I'll do my best to come along.

I'm up for anything and would take the Trille' round Cadwell. Only problem I can see is, would chaps who don't want to use the track be willing to come down and hang around all day ?

Maybe organise something around the classic bike trackday in august. I went along this year to watch and all sorts of groups and owners clubs went along. I went along to see the 400greybike group, having had an NC30 for a while. You can camp on site, there is a clubhouse with good food and a bar, plus showers and bogs. Plus for the classic bike do they have a band on in the exening.
This year was 3rd/4th aug. I think it was organised by classicbiketrackdays.com in association with practical sportsbike magazine.
