Its not often I will give a massive and genuine thumbs up to a dealer. I am so anal and protective about my bikes it aint true and as a rule I do all of my own servicing etc myself. But in this case I would like to do just that for a shop that opened only last year in Romily Stockport. The shop is called Motomax 33 and the owner Ivan is a veritable encyclopedia on anything Yamaha. I have ordered many parts from him and they arrive promptly and loves to chat about all things bikes. He rebuilt the top end of my TRX and did an ace job. So there you go shock horror a dealer who does a great job and knows Yams inside out and doesn't rip you off...marvelous

Thats good to know, not that far from Leeds if I ever need anything done. Just looked it up on google maps, its not that far from one of our company offices in Bredbury.

Just like to add aswell. If there was one thing that bugged me about my TRX it was its thirst for oil, it absolutely loved the stuff...I affectionately named it Oliver Reed. Over Winter I removed the motor and delivered it to Motomax, Ivan replaced the rings, valve stem seals, cleaned the valve seats and did the valve clearances and I must say the difference is remarkable. It ran well before but now it runs even better and its using an eighth as much oil as it did...lovely, all we need now is something a little better than five degrees

I'm in Astley. Who's squadron leader then ? What the crack, meet at Motomax and pootle for a brew somewhere ? Don't really know that side of Manc meself I've usually gone up through the Trough to Yorksheer or over to Wales.
