Well I fired up the TRX for the first ime in about six weeks, it started fine, but I think I will need to put the battery on a trickle charger
While talking about batteries does anyone have any experience of light weight batteries Lithium Ion I would guess?
What are the weight savings / Cost / Pros and Cons.
Shame I was at work yesterday coz it looked like a nice day for a ride

Had this bookmarked for ages now:
http://www.batterystuff.com/kb/articles ... rview.html
NWS870 had some issues with a race spec lithium polymer battery, but yea much smaller and lighter, ideal for specials and / or weight saving but of course more expensive than a lead acid or acid gel type battery.

dont go lithium polymer, go lithium iron. much lighter, enough bang to start anything

				It's lithium iron phosphate (LiFePo
4) that are the ones to get to use on bikes. I used a 4 cell 2.3AH one on an FZR4/6 and an XJ550 and it was fine. They have loads more oomph to start the bike but they don't have much capacity and don't take kindly to trying to start a reluctant bike from stone cold after a year's lay up! They weigh a lot less than standard lead acid batteries and I think they're a good way to eek a few kg from the bike
I got mine from
www.electricwingman.com but they seem to have stopped doing anything other than 2 cell batteries
