As subject really. Does anybody have any idea what pipes these are? They are totally unmarked, lightweight and are pretty loud. They don't seem to have the ability to fit any extra baffle to them.
So, what are they?
Cheers,
Rjen.

Hmmm, look as though they are lightweight stainless and fully welded so not rebuildable. You CAN fit baffles but you`ll need to fit the type that will go into the outlet and will require the outlet to be drilled to accept the fastening nut and bolt.

Ahhh, cool. I'm actually probably gonna sell them. My TRX is cafe'd so I don't really need them. It would be helpful to know what they might be for the purposes of the advert tho'.

Sorry can`t help on Aussie brands, perhaps Staintunes (stab in the dark) ?
They are nicely made I might add, fully dressed welds and polished nicely too.

staintunes aren't a light pipe I can tell you that and they have a small hole at the base of the outlet for a removable baffle to be fitted. Interesting point about them may sound great without the baffle but read reports of loss of upto 3 hp without it inplace.

They look like Staintunes from here, but they usually have a stamp on them...

They aren't staintunes. I've had a set of those before and they are different to these. As Cobbadiggabuddybloooo(!) says the staintunes have a removable baffle too.
On these it looks like there was a oval shape sticker on the side towards the rear of each pipe. You can see the faint outline where they used to be. That could be a clue... or maybe not!

The bike is in aussie so it's slightly more likely that its a local manufacturer.
Cheers,
Rjen.

Oval sticker - may mean they are Ballistic. They had an oval sticker at the rear of the can and did not have removable baffles. They are or were in Victoria.

my pipes look nearly identical and mine are Motad Venom.
[edit; actually, there's some differences. mine don't have a built-in fixing point and the ends of the cans are riveted - sorry, i guess i was wrong)
hmm.. potential grey-market copy cans?
i've seen stuff like this before. decent quality but not flashy, no branding or serial number. from a distance looks like a particular brand but only superficially.
not sure i can vouch for their value either. branded cans are a measurable quantity; tuning your bike to run perfectly with these may be an issue (then again it might not).
still - good cans are expensive. even if they only fetch a third of the value of a 'racing' can, you'll get some reasonable dollah for your steel tubes.
