Ok, gent and ladies, i have just rebuilt my carbs and was shocked at the amount of crap in the carb on the lower side of the piston diaphragm

This is fed by the two large dia tubes, these have a course mesh filter to keep out the bugs and that's about it! i would not normally be concerned about these thing, BUT, this crap gets trapped on the slide and aides in the overall wear and tear

there is also a small (1.4mm) pilot air jet in here that could easily be clogged up with crap

My initial solution….stoped the tank from seating
Two crankcase breathers, and shortened tubes, works well and they sit against the rubber tubes so no noise or damage!
