HI newbie on here bought got my trx about a month ago and its got a jack up kit on it and i want to put it back to standard what is the lenth of the standard links? cheers Willie

Try searching something like 'standard dogbones' on here. Deffo be some pictures and measurements.
Most rear end jack-ups are done by changing the dogbone-shaped suspension linkages. Standard ones are shorter than jack-up ones (which usually come off a YZF750).
If you are after a standard pair, I have some I can sell/give you. I'd be interested in buying your jackup ones off you, or maybe just do a straight swap?

longer bones LOWER the rear by raising the swingarm.
shorter bones RAISE the rear by lowering the swingarm.

Standard are 182mm, centre-centre

The YZF ones are a little bit to good at jacking up the rear. Does anyone have dogbones around 178 mm?

Anyone ho have tried lengths of dogbones (!) and have an opinion on whats the best middle road?

Today (with original ones) all is well but it rides a tad low and my boots touches ground before pegs (really hard tucked in).

Tried YZF-length dogbones and found it riding to high - no good center of gravity.

So somewhere in between should do it. Also have the 70 profile front tire so I have already lowered the front a bit but would like to get up the rear and follow with the front to gain some extra ride-height but keeping the handling at current level.

Opinions?

Errrr the original fitment front tyre is a 60 profile so you`ve actually raised the front by using a 70 profile.
It`s the tyre Aspect ratio, so 60 denotes 60% of the width of the tyre. In the case of the O.E TRX front tyre you are looking at 60% of the 120mm tyre width meaning the sidewall is 72mm high, your 70 profile will be 84mm.

Typo. I meant that since I have the 70 profile I lowered the front to accommodate for that, and because of that everything touches ground a bit earlier, since I at the same occasion lowered some extra mm for greater handling / quicker turn-in.

Next step would be to rasise the rear and follow up with the front, but only as much as is needed.

Hence my question - any experience among other riders of the TRX? Tried the YZF dogbones but found them too extreme for my style of riding.

As a guide, I used a 120/70 on my bike (with the standard rear) with the rear end raised 20mm and the front dropped 20mm- it worked well

What length of dogbones would give 15-20 mm raise at the rear? Can you do them?

Lowered 20 mm, as in measured from the top or 20 mm more (lower) than original?
