Welcome to the site.
Looking at the picture of your bike, I noticed that the tops of the forks are flush with the clip ons, ie no chrome stanchion showing.

if you look at Greengoatchoker's bike in this thread
http://trx850.motomaniac.net/forum/view ... =41&t=1897
This will also lower the front end, helpfull if you are short, and also speed up the steering.

One of the Guru's in here will probably know of the top of thier head how much stanchion should be showing.

:)

:D Anne welcome to the site, your forks should show 250mm of metal through handlebars. Reading your post, I think you mean that you want crash bungs. As for the stickers, It could have been re sprayed, or they could be new plastic parts.

Meybye not strong if I go crashed but must be strong If i go down on parking or something lke that ;) hehe
Whatever, TRX is great bike... I can't wait on next spring!!

Seller TRX who sell me bike, said that models of 1999r didn't have a stickers on back and front... Hmmm... I see many photos and most have stickers. Maybe first owner trashed stickers.... Plastic looks an oryginal.

In the end.. like saids in Poland: width and adhesion (on the street) :D

Do you mean something like this? For protecting metal from corrosion?

http://www.scottoiler.com/FS365-Protector.asp

If so, the product on that web page is supposed to be very good, but I don't know how easy it is to get in Poland! They may ship directly to you, as it is a UK company.

Of course if you can find something like that from a Polish company, I'm sure it would be cheaper!

Hi Anne!

A heartily welcome to the forum - have fun here and in the real world!

I think all TRXs of all model years had stickers on the front fairing and the rear - there are different stickers depending on the country and model year but, as said, I don't think there was a model without stickers there. But if the fairings look original and fit perfect I would not worry.

As to the carbon protectors:

There is a French guy named "Hein vie the" (of course) in the French TRX forum but also in the German TRX forum who made those carbon protectors for the clutch case, the oil pump case and the generator case - but I don't know if he still produces them; I will eMail him and find out!

But if you do a search on ebay you will find a lot of offers for those carbon protectors - although no protectors for the TRX are offered right now on ebay Germany, most of the producers say that any special designed covers are possible.
I suppose it would depend on the number of orders to produce some for the TRX ...

Maybe the company "Carbonadi", located in 72666 Neckartailfingen (western part of southern Germany), can help you (the owner is Adalbert Strzebinczyk - isn't it a Polish name?).

Somewehre in the internet I saw a guide to make them by yourself ... if I find it again I will post it here.

Informating greetings from Munich!

Anna, I think you are talking about what we call 'crash bungs' ... can you post what you mean in Polish as I have a friend who can translate it (either do that here or PM me).

Hi Anna!

As for protection of your TRX I think you are looking for crash pads like that :

Image

No TRX - I couldn't find one right now ...

Another suggestion if you want to save money and prevent your fairing from being cracked when falling over: Use other indicators, for example a pair of those:

Image

Available for about EUR 20,- per set at Louis; Polo or Hein Gericke might also sell them - do you have on of those in Poland?

Advising greetings from Munich!

Hello Anna!

If you do not search crash pads (or crash bungs as they are called here), maybe you are looking for roll bars ("fall-irons", "spadek żelaza" these are google translations of the German word "Sturzbügel") like this?

Image

Oh, and no, I was not yet on the Nürburgring Nordschleife - I don't think it is TRX-friendly [-X (from what I saw I think you have to have a more powerful bike than the TRX to really have fun there).

Up to now I prefer Oschersleben, Lausitzring or Schleizer Dreieck - very good tracks for the TRiXie

Guessing greetings from Munich!
