hi all newbe here have a 97 uk spec TRX

wont start from cold with out a load of messin about and normaly a booster pack(but new battery)

when warm starts 1st time every time

fuel is pumping (in spurts not constant?)(all fuel/vacum lines are inplace and not perrished or split)

plugs are good

choke mecanisim looks to be working (not striped the carbs yet) but when you get the bike started it wont tickover on the choke needs some throttle till it warms up

any ideas?

how many miles has it got on it ?? sounds like valve shims have closed up !! when were they last done ?? does it run ok once its warmed up ??

runs fine when warm

has 34k (miles) on it dont know when they wer last done ive just got the bike

ill look into that tomorrow
