On a long ride I need to stretch my right hand every now and then to maintain circulation and feeling.
Been thinking of one of the mechanical throttle locks such as Vista Cruise or Throttlemeister.
Anyone tried either of these gizmos out and if so, any feedback?

mate has a "throttle rocker" thing.. he loves it. Altho ive never personally tried one. But i do hear they are quite good for longer rides, but get in the way on normal day-to-day rides. but im sure theres a clip-on / quick release variety out there.

Try avoiding the motorways? There must be back roads/smaller roads you can use which avoid aving the throtlle locked in one position?

The vista-cruise is excellent. I use mine for warming the bike up mainly as my carbs don't have a choke circuit.

that's fantastically lazy I just stand by my bike for 30 seconds or so before it will idle on its own

I just turn the idle screw half a turn and back when it´s warm...but that´s me....

Just buy it, easy to fit (it must be, I fitted one) and you just flick the lever down and rest the hand. I use mine a lot,
also for warming up as well.
(thats the bike that gets warmed up)

Works for me. By the time i get my helmet and gloves on ,the bikes warmed up.

I've had mine for ever , the best mod I have done to the bike , from 70 kph set the throttle lock and sit back and enjoy the ride hands free . I flip down with my thumb to lock and release it with a up motion , piss of pee to operate

Don't ask me that it was YEARS ago . I think it is a vista-cruise and it was for a honda model from memory . I think the shop said it was a general fit to most bikes and I got it at a little bike shop in Donald I think

Yup, that's a Vista cruise. About $35 from most bike shops ,and they are a multifit with an assortment of fitting brackets.
