Some people .....
.... never cease to amaze me. On ebay is this advert for a TRX front wheel and discs. He has said that the discs cost him £290 PLUS FITTING (which is his emphasis on PLUS FITTING not mine!).

he must be proud of the fact that he paid someone to fit his brake discs
Surely everyone who owns a motorbike can remove a front wheel and a few hex bolts

Hi Phuk. I see someone on e-bay (speaking of e-bay) in the UK is selling a set of original 98 TRX carbs for very few GBPs (about $29 Aus) supposedly reset and balanced etc.

It never ceases to amaze me how so many people can consider that spending money on labour adds value.
On the subject of Ebay and questionable descriptions. There's one dealer a week or two ago was listing a TRX tank which was quite badly dented and which looked like it was rusty in the photos, but was described as in "Good condition". Deception I can understand but this was obviously not as described at all. But I have come to learn that a sellers (in particular breakers) idea of good condition is not in line with my own.
If I can find the link to the listing I shall post it.

This is it.

Not from Truro, but I think I know of that guy too.
This one I know has been listing a lot of other TRX parts. This will definitely give me a view of what he considers to be good condition. I dread to think what poor condition would be like.

Oh man... That's too funny!
How many rusted through TRX tanks have you all seen? With the 'seamless' construction (which BTW is something Yamaha outdid themselves on) it is very difficult for moisture to find a spot to rest and do its damage.
Obviously, he considers a part to be in 'good' condition as long as it has taken a good hit!Dipshit wrote: Just arrived from Japan. As can be seen from the pics, this tank is in good condition with damage to the left side. Very cheap and suitable for you guys who have rust coming through. Can be repaired. Other spares for TRX 850 available. Please see our feedback and be assured of the quality of parts that we sell!!
