Putoline DX4 10w40 synthetic fortified oil - basically a mineral oil with an additive in it. find it cheap on Ebay. Just over £20 for 4 litres.

Q8 SBK Racing 15w-50
£95 for 20 litres.
Have been known to use the Shell VSX also. It's good to have some extra in the garage for the TRX, but I s'pose it'll work for the Honda too.
The generel advice? Use a motorcycle oil that you can get for a fair price, from a reasonable well know brand.

i suppose what you could say is there is no such thing as bad oil ! for sure if you put the thin stuff in it uses more this is why i use halfords 10w/40 which is not cheap ,i think i paid £20 a gallon and like has been said above if there is a deal on you can get two for one ,by the way halfords motorcycle oil is made by commer ,it all gets very dirty within 300 miles anyway so change it as often as you like and dont buy the dear stuff there really is no need to

Frog oil 5100 or the newer one (7100?). I run 20/50 year round and have never needed to add between changes (of course I don't commute). I used 15/50 300V when on the track.

Now I've finished my barrel of 5100, I just buy the cheapest semi synth I can get and change it more often.

And pretty soon you'll be a phat phuk looking for a new lump.
Couldn't resist.
